Varsity Softball 2016

Kels may have played "left bench" on the Varsity Softball team at Mankato West this year but that doesn't lessen her impact. Several people told Ang that they admired her leadership and cheerleading from the dugout and her willingness to step onto the field and do whatever asked of her. The team had a real "family" feel and the girls would write that on their right wrists before each game. They marched through the season only losing 1 non-conference game to a team in a higher conference than them and went onto win the conference, the section and state. It was a great moment for the team but especially for the seniors on the team who had played ball together since age 5.

Graduation 2016

The Dittos graduated. What a milestone. What an awesome experience. Ang and Big TK are so excited for their future. Kels and Lil' TK are just happy to be done. Next up, college orientation and getting ready to move. Kels will be attending the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. She has her room-mate all figured out - providing the paperwork is all processed correctly - and is starting to put together the things she's going to need to decorate the dorm room. Lil' TK will be attending the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, SD. He's excited to move to Sioux Falls and meet up with family friends that live there and have promised to become his second home. Both kids chose colleges that have purple as their colors, cats as their mascots, go by UST and USF and are in towns that start with an S. Twin-Coincidence? Ang thinks so...

Wrestling 2015-2016

Lil' TK started his last wrestling season with the Mankato West Scarlets determined to make a difference...and he did. Through hard work, determination and a will like no other, he ended his last wrestling season with an almost .500 record and being named Most Improved Wrestler by the coaches. He made it into the 2nd day of rounds at Sections, which he had never done before and hit each milestone he set for himself. Wrestling is not just a sport, it's a life lesson. And it's made Lil' TK the man he is today.

Abby Lou

Abby is often forgotten and not given the attention she deserves. But throughout her 10 years with the Crew, she has learned to be patient and forgiving...as well as photogenic. Ang uses her a lot to play with settings on her camera or work on pet posing. Abby, as usual, takes it with her usual smiley disposition.

JOBS

Kels and Lil' TK attended the Jobs Dance on Saturday. It's kind of a big deal here in Mankato. The Jobs Dance is a "Sadie Hawkins" type event where the girl asks the guy, pays for just about everything. Mankato, St. Peter, Cleveland, St. Clair and Nicollet are all invited to attend. The dance is the big fundraiser for the Jobs Daughters organization that does charitable works throughout the community during the year.

Kels asked a friend after one of his basketball games to be her date. She helped plan the dinner, photos and getting everyone to the dance so all her friends could have a good time. Lil' TK was asked by his girlfriend with a bedazzled football.
