Graduation

Kels and Lil' TK officially 'graduated' from 8th grade. Off to high school.

Ang didn't cry. Didn't even tear up. Proud of their maturity. Excited for their new opportunity. And hopeful for their future. Big TK thought the 8th grade "graduation" was silly. But he had that 'proud dad' look on this face the whole time.

Pops Concert

Kels and Lil' TK showed off their artistic side at the Jr. High Pops Concert in June. Lil' TK even had a little solo. It was a fun show to watch and even the Kopp Twins looked like they might have had fun...

Catching Up...

Lil' TK and DMMS 8th Grade "A" team finished their season undefeated. The boys seemed to work really well together and it was fun to watch. Lil' TK even tried catching again. Kels and the West C-Squad team finished their season on a winning note. She loved being with her friends (4 other 8th graders were moved up to help the team) and working on her pitching and infield.



Onto traveling sports....Lil' TK tried out for and made the 14AAA team for Royals baseball. This is the first year he's made the top level team and is looking forward to the challenge playing at this level brings. Their first tournament is scheduled for the first weekend in June. They started league play this year and though they've haven't squeaked out a win yet, are working hard to change that.

                                                                        

Kels and the Peppers 14U Blue team played in Burnsville Memorial Weekend. What was supposed to be a one day tournament ended up being two days due to a monsoon delay. The most exciting part of the weekend was the shade tents that took to the wind and made a flying leap over the fence during an opponents game, hitting that teams 1st Base coach in the head with the metal leg, knocking him out cold. He was ok but it's a good lesson...weigh down your shade tents!

Spring Sports have Sprung!

Lil' TK and Kels both began spring sports for their last year at DMMS. Kels once again made the West C-Squad Softball team and began 5 day a week practices in March. Lil' TK made the 8th Grade "A" team and opened the season with a 2-run home run in the first game.

Ang got a new camera. The camera she's been wanting and waiting for for a really long time.

The Grappler and the Brace Face

Kels finally got the braces she's been bugging Ang & Big TK waiting for. And the next day made the comment she can't wait to get them off.
*Sigh....*
Lil' TK finished out the wrestling season with a 6th place finish at a JV tournament. Even got a pin. Next up is the Wrestling Banquet in March. Ang and Big TK's first banquet. How cool is that?

The Birthday

Ang turned the dreaded 4-0 on January 28th. It was a great day despite the negative connotations. The entire crew met up with Ang's brother and his wife for lunch in the cities. Longtime friend, JM, joined the crew as well. Jake's City Grille in Eden Prairie has great food and that special "Jake's sauce" that makes everything taste better.

Later, the crew returned home to a small gathering of friends and family for cake and ice cream. C-Munster, Tedna and Katerbean brought Ang a bouquet of beautiful roses. For Ang's 30th...they brought 30 carnations. Ang is digging this tradition...


Big TK, Ang and Shi went out for a bit after the festivities at the shack ended.

All in all...there really wasn't anything to dread and it was a great birthday.
